MINISTER SHYAMKUMAR INSPECTS VARIOUS PROJECTS IN ANDRO

Imphal, November 7, 2021 (DIPR): Forest and Environment Minister Shri Thounaojam Shyamkumar today inspected various ongoing projects at the Andro Constituency. He said that various projects on health and educational institutions constructed under the central fund in the Andro Assembly Constituency will be completed soon.

Stating that education is very important for the brighter future of the State, he said that we should focus towards providing proper education to the children from the grassroot level. He said that many parents are unable to send their wards to private schools and hence it is important to upgrade and revive the Government schools in the State to provide quality education to all the children irrespective of their socio-economic background.

The Minister today inspected the under construction building of the OBC Boys Hostel at Moirangpurel which is being constructed under the central assistance. He informed to the media persons that the central assistance was given to construct a hostel to accommodate 100 students. An additional assistance from his side was contributed to accommodate additional 300 students. 

He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of Tulihal Mayai Lekai Primary School at Yairipok Tulihal. He assured to the people that by February next year the school building will be completed. He also said that a Model Residential School is being constructed at the Moirangpurel under the central assistance.

Minister Th. Shyamkumar also inspected the newly constructed building of the Primary Health Centre Nongpok Keithelmanbi. He said that the building will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh, although the date is not yet fixed. PHC Nongpok Keithelmanbi is constructed under the central fund from the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

He said opined that PHC Nongpok Keithelmanbi, if it gets functional will solve the health problems of the people at Nongpok Keithelmanbi. Wishing the people of the State on the festive occasion of Deepavali the Minister reiterated the commitment of the Government to provide quality education and healthcare system to the people of the State.
