Over 45,000 Old Age Pensioners To Receive 12 Months Pension Through DBT

 

Imphal, November 7, 2021 (DIPR): As assured earlier by Social Welfare Minister Smt Nemcha Kipgen, pension benefit under Manipur Old Age Pension (MOAP) scheme has been released and transferred to the respective accounts of over 45,000 beneficiaries for 12 months (@Rs.200 per month i.e. Rs. 2400 per beneficiaries) w.e.f March 2017 to February 2018 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) using RTGS/NEFT/ECS on 6th of this month. The pension will be received by those pensioners holding the BLUE card under MOAP.

In view of the festive season like Ningol Chakouba, considered as the biggest festival of our state, Minister Nemcha expressed that the releasing of this pension amount at this time would prove useful for all the beneficiaries specially the old-aged. In a way, it is a token of love from her end as a concern Minister of the Department as well as the State government for this festive season.

In a notification issued on 6th of this month by Deputy Director, Social Welfare, Manipur, all the pensioners were informed to check their respective bank accounts. (DIPR)
