Shri N. Biren Singh further said that the Territorial Army had unfailingly risen to the challenges whenever it had been called upon to serve the nation. The force continues to provide invaluable support through its commitment, bravery and sacrifice, he added.

Shri N. Biren said that raising of 165th Infantry Battalion (TA) (Home and Hearth) Assam had given direction and opportunity for gainful employment of the youth of the State and their meaningful participation in the development of the State.
