CM CONDEMNS VANDALISM OF SCHOOL AND ASSAULT ON TEACHERS

Imphal, March 05, 2022 (DIPR): Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh has strongly condemned the unfortunate incident that occurred at Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa today.

Shri N. Biren expressed that it is very unfortunate that some students have vandalised the school causing huge damages to the school property as well as the vehicles of the Supervising Officer, Officer in Charge and Assistant O Officer in-Charge and teachers. Around 13 teachers have been injured after they were allegedly attacked by the students.

The Chief Minister said that such barbaric acts severely undermine the government’s efforts to improve the quality of education among the students in the State. He warned that the government would not tolerate the vandalism of school properties and assault on teachers. Chief Minister further stated that those culprits will be booked under the rule of law.

It may be mentioned that the unfortunate incident happened after Flying Squad of BOSEM expelled a student who was caught for using unfair means during the examination.
