MINISTER TH. RADHESHYAM INAUGURATES 3-DAY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON TRANSFORMING LEADERSHIP

Imphal, April 6, 2022 (DIPR): Education Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam Singh today inaugurated the 3-Day International Conference on Transforming Leadership for Global Social & Environmental Justice: Issues & Challenges with the motto “Think Globally, Act Locally” at G.P. Women’s College.

The conference is organised by G. P. Women's College in collaboration with Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration & Management (CCEAM) affiliated to the Commonwealth Consortium for Education (CCfE).

Speaking during the function Minister Th. Radheshyam said that leaders and leadership must have a democratic approach so that each individual are able to express their best views and give suggestions. He opined that the ideas and suggestions formulated in the conferences will surely help in finding solutions to the problems and challenges faced by the society in a holistic manner.

Leaders, he asserted is someone who is chosen / appointed by a group (of people) and is entrusted with a certain task to be achieved. The leaders are those who facilitate in accomplishing and achieving the global social, environmental justice by rising above the issues and challenges.

The Minister stressed that the positive solutions must be implemented otherwise, it will become insignificant. Therefore the ideas should be converted into action through implementations as policy and programmes for the betterment of the world.

Prof. Hemlata Talesra, International Coordinator, IfGSS said that the CCEAM is an organization dedicated to fostering cooperative & collaborative exchanges internationally amongst educational aspirants, management, professionals and administrators. She added that the conference will help in disseminating knowledge and research.

The inaugural function was attended by the resource persons, delegates and participants from different parts of the globe, country and the state along with the teachers, students of the colleges.

Papers on the following sub-themes will be presented in the conference - Environmental Science, Humanities, Social Science, Life Science,. Physical Science, Mathematics, Medical Science, Performing Arts, Teacher Education and Sports & Physical Education / Physical Health Education
