‘‘SABKA SAATH, SABKA VIKAS” WILL BRING INCLUSIVE GROWTH FOR FOR PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE: NEMCHA KIPGEN

Kangpokpi, March 03, 2022 (DIPR): In line with the vision of the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister, Smt Nemcha Kipgen stated that peaceful co-existence amongst different communities will bring unity and peace coupled with inclusive development for all. This was expressed by the Minister while gracing as Chief Guest of the closing ceremony of the 4th Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) sports Meet, 2020 held today at Bongbal Kholen Village, Kangpokpi.

Addressing the gatherings, Minister Smt. Nemcha Kipgen said that such sporting events brings the sense of unity and healthy competition as sports spreads the language of cooperation and understanding to all. She also encouraged all to give maximum focus on education too as it is through the knowledge and wisdom gained from education that will shape the life of the youths to be a responsible citizen.

Pointing out the various illegal forms of plantations in the hill districts of the state, she strongly urged the people not to resort to such plantations or illegal practices that will degrade the lifestyle of the masses and that will also impact in the environmental conditions. Instead, Minister Nemcha highlighted various skill development programs, schemes and programs of the Government in Social Welfare and Cooperation Departments to improve the lifestyle of the people economically. She asserted that unemployment problems can be extensively solved if cooperative movement are strengthened.

Cultural songs and dances were also performed to mark the occasion. MDC, Kamuchung DCC, Smt Shila Konghay and MDC, Bongbal Kholen DCC, Shri Thangjamang Kipgen also graced the occasion as Guest of Honour and President respectively.

En route to the sports meet, Social Welfare Minister, Smt Nemcha also paid a visit to ASHIANA, a Protective and Rehabilitative Home run under Ujjawala at K. Themdoi Village, Kangpokpi. She interacted with the staffs and residents of this home and inspected the facilities to check if it was properly run under the guidelines of the Ministry of WCD. (DIPR) .
