IMPHAL, June 30 (DIPR): IFCD and YAS Minister Shri Letpao Haokip today inaugurated a bank building of Bank of Baroda at Machi TD Block in Tengnoupal District.
Speaking at the function, Letpao Haokip said that the bank building inaugurated today at Machi will be most beneficial for underprivileged section of the areas. Saying that it is now mandatory for every person to have bank account to avail any Government schemes, he urged the locals of the area to open an account each and avail the full benefits of the same.
Locals should show hospitality to officials and take the onus of protecting public properties, Shri Letpao said while urging the locals to ensure the safety and security of officials in the area and to provide them a homely environment without any disturbance.
The Minister further urged the bank officials to spread banking awareness among the locals and urged all concerned to work sincerely for the sake of posterity.
Calling upon all concerned not to give space to parochial mindset and mistrust, the Minister urged all concerned to rather renew their pledge to work for the betterment of the State.
Shri D. Korungthang, MLA Tengnoupal AC; Shri Lhukhosei Zou, Chairman, ADC, Chandel; Shri Kh. Raghumani, DC, Tengnoupal; Dr. S. Ibomcha, SP, Tengnoupal and Shri Bimol Singh, Joint Manager, Bank of Baroda, Imphal were other dignitaries who attended the inauguration programme.
