Sports and Education are Intertwine for Personality’s Development
Imphal,March 27, 2018 (DIPR):Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Smt. Nemcha Kipgentoday graced the 2nd Day of the 37th Junior National Kho-Kho Championship, 2017-18 as Chief Guest held at BASU ground, Khangabok, Thoubal District. It is organised by Manipur Amateur Kho-Kho Association in association with District Administration, Thoubal under the auspicious of Kho-Kho Federation of India.
Addressing the gatherings, Minister Nemcha Kipgen highlighted the importance of sports and education in shaping a discipline lifestyle and for personality’s development. She urged every sportsperson to lead a discipline life so as to flourish in the national and international arenas.
She stated that Manipur is known all over the country as powerhouse of sports. She is optimistic that once the Sports University is completed, the state will produce many more successful sportspersons who will bring laurels for the state as well as the country. As winning and losing is part of every game, she advised all the sportsperson to take every game as a learning experience and further enhance the required skills.
The 37th Junior National Kho-Kho Championship, 2017-18 have participants from thirty two (32) teams both boys and girls from different states of India.(DIPR)
