STATE OBSERVES NATIONAL UNITY DAY UNITY AMONG OURSELVES CAN BUILD A STRONG NATION: CM

Imphal, October 31, 2021 (DIPR): Honouring the priceless contribution of Sardar Vallabhai Patel towards unifying the country, the State today observed the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at the Parade ground of 1st Manipur Rifles Battalion, Imphal.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh remembered the contribution of Sardar Patel towards building a strong united India. He said that Sardar Patel was a prominent National leader who stood boldly against the British oppressive policy and participated in Civil disobedience movement, Peasants’ movement, Quit India Movement etc. He is often referred as Patron Saint of India’s Civil Servants for his contribution towards introduction of Modern All India Services System, he added.

Chief Minister stated that when there is integrity and unity among ourselves then we can build a strong and developed Nation. With a strong commitment, the present government has reduced the gap between the hills and valley so as to bring development in the State. We should refrain from narrow minded attitude and opportunistic thoughts that could bring disunity among the communities living in the State, he added.

Chief Minister received the salute from seven march past contingents. Additional Director of Manipur Police Training College Smt. Asana Sarangthem was the parade commander of the march past parade.

Minister for CAF&PD Shri Karam Shyam, Minister for Education Shri Th. Radheshyam,MLAs and high ranking civil and police officers attended the observance. (DIPR)
