Manipur being an  agriculturist society. It is lucky that state ranked in 8th position of biodiversity hotspots in the world. God has been very kind to us in terms of natural resources  such as   the black rice  product  which is only found in Manipur , so we need to promote and export it, similarly we have so many varieties of orchids and medicinal plants which are not yet identified .  She stressed that these products have a great potential to become a means for generating income. The state is inhabited by very hard working people and now it is very fortunate that the state is known far and wide. Chief Minister Shri N.Biren Shing who attended as Special Guest of Honour at the Conclave  states that a special focus  given to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs  who belong to the weaker section of the society  and  in order to uplift them economically by giving training   is the main concern of the Governor . The Chief Minister further states that the state is very lucky to have a Governor whose priority is the welfare of the people, the project “Flying Ambulance”, promotion  the traditional handloom and handicrafts products by inviting  experts in the field and also bankers for providing loans to small industries are all done under her guidance  and that under the present government the state has witnessed a lot of changes.  The CM also extended his support to the organisers to bring about a visible change in the state and said that the state government is ready to extend any possible help .

Due to lack of awareness and knowledge, we are backward. So, it is beneficial for us that experts from other states are here to train us and also encourage the people to monitor and counter check how the schemes and funds meant for their development are used and managed and not depend solely on the elected representatives or social activists . For the purpose of overall equal development  in the entire state the Schemes ‘ Go to Hills’ and ‘ Go to Village’ was initiated , he added.
