Imphal; June 29, 2022 (DIPR): Minister, Tribal Affairs & Hills Shri N. Kayisii today inaugurated the Chalwa Government High School located in Chalwa Village in Tadubi AC which falls under Kangpokpi District. The inauguration of the high school was held in the presence of Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, Minister, Social Welfare and Co-operation and Shri T. Ranjit Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi who were the Functional President and Guest of Honour of the inaugural function.
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration function, TD Minister N. Kayisii expressed his pleasure that the Chalwa villagers will now have a full-fledged high school within the vicinity of their locality. Kayisii advised the students to concentrate on their studies and also exhorted the teachers to be sincere and more responsible while discharging their duty. He further appealed the villagers to support and co-operate to the teachers, who came down from different parts of the state to educate their children.
The TD Minister added that in its first 100 days, the new government under the leadership of Shri N. Biren Singh has taken up many development initiatives including those left incomplete by the previous government, particularly in the hills; and Chalwa Govt High School is one outcome of such initiatives taken up by the new BJP-led government in the state. The Minister assured that he will consult the Chief Minister and Education Minister for awarding Matriculation Exam Centre at the Chalwa Govt High School.
“Since you elected me as your representative, I will work to my best level for the welfare of my people with transparency without any bias in mind. I will not make any false commitment to my people”, stated TD Minister N. Kayisii, who is also the MLA of Tadubi AC.
Kayisii further stated that everyone is welcome to him to share their grievances but they should not demand anything that will hurt the interest and sentiment of any particular community.
While delivering her Presidential Speech, Social Welfare and Co-operation Minister Smt Nemcha Kipgen stressed on the importance of education as it is the main elements like ‘air and water’ to lead our society in the right direction and to move towards development. She expressed how fortunate the district is to have a school under RMSA, where our own children will avail free formal education. This project has been successfully inaugurated today under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh who has a vision of parallel development in the state, both in the valley and hills. She also applauded DC Kangpokpi Shri T Ranjit Singh for his dynamic and untiring effort to develop the district.
Pointing out that the root cause of evils in our society is illiteracy; Minister Nemcha encouraged the students to prioritize their studies keeping aside all the others activities as Education will mould their life into a correct way. She appealed all the parents to send their wards to schools as life becomes incompatible without proper Education in this fast moving and technologically advanced world.
Today’s inauguration function was also attended by leaders of Chalwa Village, parents, students and teachers of Chalwa Government High School. (DIPR)
